This is the estate's signature vintage, also the oldest. The wine exudes scents of black cassis, pepper and animals. The palate is delicious with fine tannins which coat the mouth generously and persistently. It is a great Crozes, full of finesse and great purity. We have aged it for you, it is currently in its peak. Place: Les Pontaix in the village of Crozes-Hermitage in the north of the appellation. Area: 2.10 hectares Clay-limestone hillside, south facing. Average age of the vines: 40 years Planting density: 6,000 vines/ha Size: trellised goblet on stakes and Royat cordon. Manual harvest in crates. The grapes are sorted and destemmed. Gravity vatting. Vinification in concrete vats. Gentle extraction by pumping over and punching down. Aging for 12 months: ¾ in demi-muids (including 20% ​​new barrels) and ¼ in concrete diamond vats.
