This Grand Cru Champagne by Jacquesson is made exclusively from old Chardonnay vines around sixty years old, planted in the locality of Champ Caïn, itself located in the commune of Avize. The 2013 vintage had a very cold and snowy winter, spring and early summer remained cold and humid, generating coulure and millerandage and delaying flowering and maturity. August and September were warmer and drier, allowing for a late but very beautiful harvest. The wine was aged no less than 8 years on lees and disgorgement took place in April 2022. This wine exudes all the delicacy of its terroir. The nose of flowers, citrus fruits and white fruits is extremely seductive. The palate combines straightness and minerality, intensity and acidity. Almost chiseled even, the bubbles are fine and the finish saline. A "terroir Champagne" of great accuracy.
