This Champagne Grand Cru signed Jacquesson is made exclusively from old Pinot Noir vines around thirty years old, planted in the place called Terres Rouges, itself located in the commune of Dizy. The 2013 vintage had a very cold and snowy winter, spring and early summer remained cold and humid, generating coulure and millerandage and delaying flowering and maturity. August and September are warmer and drier, allowing a late but very good harvest. The wine was aged for no less than 8 years on lees and disgorging took place in February 2021. This wine exudes all the delicacy of its terroir. The nose of flowers, citrus and white fruits is extremely seductive. The palate combines straightness, the fat of the Pinot Noir coats the chalkiness and minerality of this champagne with a beautiful intensity with some acidic notes. Almost chiselled, the bubbles are fine and the finish is salty. A “terroir Champagne” of great precision. Only 584 units produced.
